A Little Flirtin' Never Hurt Nobody

The Emotional Affair

You’re married or in a committed relationship and things have hit a brick wall. You find a friend, co-worker or ex to flirt with. You get a high when they compliment you, you get a text or picture from them or you share a coffee break together. Are you wrong? It depends. A little flirting might not be a big deal, but what will that eventually lead to? These types of relationships give you something that you’re not getting in your relationship with your partner-appreciation, admiration, maybe just an outlet, but most people think if nothing physical is going on, then they’re not cheating. Here are a few signs that you’re playing with fire:

1.     You talk to this person about your partner’s shortcomings
2.     You share intimate details about your feelings, hopes, dreams that you would normally share with your partner.
3.     You talk to this person about sex or your sexual desires
4.     You’re hiding your relationship with this person from your partner
5.     YOU FEEL GUILTY!

If you feel guilty about your actions, you’re wrong. What do you think SSS family? Is an emotional connection with someone else considered cheating?
